Munchen comes to Port-of-Spain.  Real German proprietar and a short list of great German beer.

Formerly located on the North side of Rust Street, it's now opposite Victoria Square. This is as close as we will get to a German beer garden. Benches and tables in the open air simulate an Octoberfest atmosphere. Paulaner beer is served. The menu is a mix of traditional German fare and Trini cuisine.

What was good?
This is real German good food! The meat is prepared like in Germany and price quality is very good. I loved it...

What could be improved?
Chairs are very hard to sit on for a long time.

Intimate setting for beer drinkers

What was good?
Congenial, limin' atmosphere. The people I went with compared the vibe to the fabled Pelican. Not sure I agree with that, but it is a very casual atmosphere where you feel quite at home, especially thanks to Juergen who co-owns the joint with his partner VickyAnn. Make sure and ask Juergen how they met and how he came to be in Trinidad. That story is good for at least a couple beers.

I didn't eat but I did have a taste of a cheese dish that Juergen put together for a friend and it was delicious. Will update this when I go back for food, but for now it seems like a great place to just go and lime with your beer lovin' friends. Seems like the type of place you'd want to stop at on your way or coming from the beach.

Oh, and if you don't like beer they serve wine also; German wine of course.
What could be improved?
You might not like hard benches, but that's perfect for a beer garden, and if you don't like it you can go inside.
