Extension of Parade route

Amazing that many people are against this but from this perspective it seems a very sane and logical solution to the congestion at the savannah and on the streets of Woodbrook on carnival Monday and Tuesday.

We've been following Brazil in their approaches to carnival for some time now (from ropes around bands to wee-wee trucks) and guess what: there are several different parade routes in their carnival in Bahia for decades already.

Simple logistical solution to have a real viable alternative to the Savannah stage, while also expanding the physical space carnival occupies.

As for people wanting to cross only the savannah stage; over time, with cameras televising the soca dome people will come to love that venue also.

Congrats to the bandleaders for taking this initiative.

As for people who fear this segregates carnival, we would say that happened a long time ago with prices north of $2,000.
